Tour Diary: The Pollies in Norway
Our pals the Pollies are on a whirlwind trip around Europe on tour with Dylan LeBlanc and Nicole Atkins in anticipation of their new record (you can listen to their new single here). They've been keeping a tour diary for us to peek behind the curtain at life on the road and we're here with the first installment. We'll be checking in with Dylan and Nicole as well, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled as the tour continues.
Aug 21st: Bergen, Norway - Bergen Live Sessions:
We started our drive in the middle of nowhere Norway. Way up in the mountains/Fjords. It’s beautiful. The most beautiful drive I’ve ever been on. It made the 8 hour drive to Bergen feel short.
We arrived in Bergen at 4:30 for sound check. Bergen is a small beautiful city. Played a wonderful show to a beautiful crowd!
Aug.22; Oslo, Norway- John Dee:
Van call at 8 with an 8 hour drive to follow. 3-4 hours of the drive was through fjords via tunnels with random spaceship looking roundabouts. Super bad ass!
We arrived in Oslo around 4:30. After sound check we grabbed some awesome Thai food and once again had a fantastic crowd. Afterwards we went to Revolver and got to hang with 2 super awesome folks, Sarah Jägenstedt and Matthew Logan Vasquez. Sarah always buys a round of flatliner shots (tequila, Sambuca, and Tabasco). I think she gets a kick out of watching us take these spicy yet delicious shots. Needless to say we had an awesome time in Oslo, although my head at this moment disagrees.
